At Lunfeng Technology, we mainly supply graphic overlays manufactured from three mainstream substrates: PC, PVC and PET. Two surface finishes are available for all materials, matte and glossy, to satisfy diverse customer application demands.

1. Polycarbonate (PC)

PC boasts outstanding physical and chemical resistance, compatible with a full range of printing inks, making it our most widely adopted graphic overlay material at Lunfeng. Both matte and glossy PC surfaces can be customized per requirements.

Matte PC is highly favored for control system panels, as it eliminates light interference during operation. Its surface only generates soft diffuse reflection without glaring light spots. Besides, the matte texture effectively conceals minor scratches to maintain a neat appearance for long-term use.

By contrast, glossy PC cannot deliver anti-glare and scratch-hiding performance. Nevertheless, it delivers brighter, more vibrant printing colors with striking visual effects. Our Lunfeng team recommends glossy PC for scenarios with strict decorative standards and low frequent touching. It is also the ideal option for display windows such as LCD screens due to special optical requirements.

2. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)

PVC stands out as a cost-effective alternative, with its price roughly half that of PC. Choosing PVC helps our clients significantly cut down overall production expenses. Another key merit of PVC is excellent ductility; cold pressing processing can form 3D embossed patterns on the surface for decorative purposes.

We supply glossy PVC in thickness over 0.5mm, covered with water-based protective paper on both sides, mostly applied to decorative panels. Matte PVC normally comes under 0.3mm, only available in cut-to-size sheets rather than rolled stock.

3. Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)

Since PC can cover most general performance requirements, PET is seldom selected as the primary graphic overlay material at Lunfeng. We only suggest PET for special demanding environments where PC fails to meet strict standards of insulation, resilience, solvent resistance and other technical indicators.

Standard PET features a glossy transparent surface. Matte PET products are rare on the market, among which Kimoto KB series from Japan is a premium choice with ultra-fine matte texture. Unlike matte PC formed mechanically via sanded calender rollers, this special matte PET does not produce an obvious foggy surface effect.
